🕊️ Before he was "E. Wash" to everyone in Watts and Compton, Eric Washington was a Grambling State grad student earning his Master's in Public Administration — and a proud brother of Alpha Phi Alpha. Early Saturday morning, Eric was killed in a shooting at the New Wilmington Arms Apartments in Compton — one of two lives lost that night, with three others injured. The investigation is still active, with no motive or suspects released yet. He carried that education straight into a life of service: field deputy for Assembly member Mike Gipson, member of the Watts Gang Task Force, a familiar face doing the quiet work of community outreach that rarely makes headlines.
