There's only 20,000 polar bears left. Orangutans are about to go extinct, and our freshwater is gonna look like this in the next couple of years. Mostly because of big AI. ChatGPT, Grok, Meta AI and these other big AI companies literally use 39 million gallons of water a day, simply for its cooling systems. And while these animals are going extinct, data centers the size of New York don't even have enough fresh water. With all these three big AI companies combined, imagine how much water we're wasting every single day. And in a few years, big AI is going to consume as much water as 1 billion people. I'm probably not gonna stop using AI. I use it every single day, and I use it mostly for work. But the thing is, I switch over to something that is more eco-friendly instead of using ChatGPT and Gemini and those companies. I personally use EcoGPT as an alternative because it uses 10 times less water, 10 times less energy than these big AI corporations, and it plants trees for every 100 prompts.
