Thanks for following along with the saga of my accidentally baked soaps! After a little cleanup, a trim here and there, and some time to recover, I'm happy to say these bars are looking much better than I expected. The oven mishap mostly affected the tops, but thankfully they were only in there for a couple of minutes. For now, I'm letting them finish curing and keeping an eye on them, but so far I'm feeling pretty optimistic about their future. Sometimes soapmaking doesn't go according to plan, The lavender soap I cut off the top as well but just enough that I could keep a bit of that purple ribbon in it. And the warm vanilla sugar ended up looking just fine. So I left it the way it is. This one is a good morning sunshine. There was no way I was saving that piping so I cut it off and cleaned it up.
