I have never had a soap fail this horrible in my six plus years of soap making. Literally ever. I wanted this to be a seashell and beach landscape inspired soap and everything was going great until the ocean layer. I guess I made the mistake of using a new fragrance and soap. This fragrance does not like to fragrance in soap. It's made for soap, but going back to read the reviews, a lot of people have this problem and I'm really sad that I didn't see it beforehand. One thing about me is I am not going to give up. I was not going to let this soap beat me or bring me down, no matter how ugly it is. I smushed it in the mold to the best of my ability and I still tried to do my design on top of the strips of sand with a little wave texture and then the seashell embeds on top. It's ugly, but it's still good soap and it's scented with notes of warm sand, juicy apple, crystallized amber, and clean musk.
