good morning my name is Milly I wanted to show you my intraying sketchbook this morning it's a Hahnemühle accordion sketchbook with watercolor paper um and it's pretty perfect size for the trip that I took starting off pretty strong with this watercolor of a hooded crow never seen a hooded crow before they're all over Europe I'm a big fan of birds in general um so it was very exciting for me to add this to my life list and um that was in Berlin that I saw them for the first time cause that's where we started our journey and hence the Berlin TV tower on the next page I actually this is such a good watercolour I'm not actually that good at watercolour in general but it was just easy the easiest paint to bring with me no one's no one's packing up acrylic to take to Eastern Europe are they uh and then Prague was next here's a little drawing of the Old Town um it's just done with fine liner and then a little bit of uh watercolour on the top just to give it a little colour cause they got some gorgeous colours um in Prague it's a very beautiful city I think me and Emmy that was our favourite place that we went to then after that we went to Vienna and I have a couple of extra pages it kind of worked out to two pages um goes into the third page there um we went on a hike in Semmering we actually got the train out of Vienna to do this hike um we saw some really gigantic quite green snails which was very exciting um I went to the butterfly house as well so butterfly and this was like a drawing of a picture from our hike with the um it's got like a a railway going through it um that's loud shh um but it was very very beautiful and one of the highlights of my trip turns out I like the countryside a little bit more than the city um and then after Vienna went to Bratislava and we had a lot of apple roll cause we're only there for like less than 24 hours so we just did like a wine tasting had a little walk around the Old Town and saw the castle so we didn't do too much and this is like tiling from one of the churches or cathedrals or something it was very very beautiful but I did a lot of apple roll over the whole holiday we kept some stats and then we drank uh 68 pints each um in 10 days which is pretty good work um but I think we could have done more as British girls that's fine um and this was the last painting in the accordion sketchbook it is the house of Parliament in Budapest um which was a magnificent building and as soon as I started drawing it I regretted it because it's so intricate and I just kind of like simplified it as best I could we did a little um Prosecco cruise at sunset and that's what that's from so um pretty good going for 10 days I did finish it at home but only because some of the trains were too wobbly to paint on that's it that's my trip in initially like 12 pages or something crazy um thank you for coming to my TedTalk this fine morning have a lovely day and oh my god I don't know how to close this there you go pick up your sketchbook today it'll be worth it
