Exeter I'm in Exeter, Ontario and this is one of the only places in the world where you can spot white squirrels so Exeter is the home of the White Squirrel one of the restaurants here even has a famous white squirrel cheesecake so this is Eddington's so James how long have you been here and tell me about the squirrel cheesecake from start to finish? The white squirrel cheesecake we've been here since 1997 so okay going into our 29th year people come from all over to see these white squirrels they're not albino Home of the white squirrels they actually have dark eyes and fully white squirrels which is kind of unique to the area we had a chef a chef Patrick who worked here for quite a few years and his mom who was a fantastic lady came down to visit they didn't have room with him as young child so she stayed at the farm for a couple weeks she was an artist and she fell in love with these squirrels so she went back to Australia and made these white squirrel molds sent them from Australia back here so then we made Patrick made these specialty cheesecakes over the years some of these squirrel moulds have gone missing or been damaged and what not she actually just this last week sent a Patrick sent me a him and I are still close send me a photo of his mum has made another batch of these white squirrel moulds in Australia and they're on their way back here now so we can continue the tradition of the white squirrel cheesecake Eddington's of Exeter Oh my God Oh my God delicious I travel across Canada Follow for more Follow for more let me know where I should head next and follow for more videos like this one
