I mean going to networking events, I mean, I've been assigned to Sommer School with Ari. And I'm going to networking events with no structure and no outcomes. So, let's go to Sommer School. The first guest was the DMV's favorite entrepreneur, Ari Davis, founder of Stript, and founder of Sommer School and podcast producer. Sommer School, and Sundays are for, like, conversations and mentorship. And she's a professor. She has her undergrad and Harvard University as a professor. She's spent her career sharing truths, education and resources. And Ari Davis is the founder of Stript, and Buji Matcha. Known for building brands that sell out. Ari specializes in building intentional storytelling, marketing, and genuinely love businesses. She walked us through how to build a brand that sells out, covering everything from finding vendors and building a team to social media strategy, expectations of her team and more. And then she gave us three pillars of success in entrepreneurship. Consistency, community, culture. Here's where Sommer School is different from every other networking event I've been to. We didn't just listen. We got into small groups and built an actual 30-day plan, centered on one of those three pillars. We got feedback from each other and then five women had the opportunity to bring their business directly to Ari and get tangible, specific feedback on the spot. I left with connections, action items and an accountability partner. So many events just provide a room and maybe some drinks, but no real structure and no real takeaways. Sommer School is not that.
