COME TO WORK AT DIPTYQUE WITH ME

Come to work at Diptyque with me. This is what a typical day working at Diptyque looks like. I really enjoy my job. It's fun and easy. I love perfume and I love helping people find their scents. But first, we're gonna do a quick little fit check 'cause I feel so cute today. I made my way to work and I always use public transit. When I got to work, my coworker had already done the computer opening tasks. So I turn on the candle. We always have a large and a small candle running in the store. I ate a little breakfast before we opened and then I put on my scents. Today I'm wearing a combo of Orphéon Eau de Parfum with Eau Rose Eau de Parfum. After that, I stocked some of these 7.5ml vials for the travel set because we were low. Then I went through each drawer to see if we needed to wrap any candles. That way people can ask for it, we have it ready. Then I got to wrapping. Wrapping can be fun and therapeutic. It always sends out really beautiful in the end. It definitely took me a while to learn it though when I first started. But now I could probably say that I think I'm the best wrapper at our location. Also, fun fact, if you didn't know, each product has its own unique wrapping color. For example, Philosykos is a fig perfume so we use fig colors like purple and green. And then Shen is for the oak trees so we have brown for the trunk, of course, and green for the leaves. By this point, it was lunchtime, so for lunch, I just had a mango and a protein bar 'cause I wasn't that hungry. After lunch, I went downstairs to finish putting away stock that we got yesterday. Honestly, weekdays are pretty slow, so I spent most of the day just waiting for people to come in. The biggest and most important part of a job is helping customers find scents that they like, but obviously, I can't do that on video. So, because we're kind of in the slow season and there's not much, most of the day I spent doing little tasks like trimming the candles once a day, organizing the product and making it look nice. Honestly, sometimes I feel like that funeral director that does like these little minor adjustments. Supplies we need during the day get replenished. Like bags, we also replenish the blasters because we go through those very quickly. And then when 5 o'clock rolls around, we turn off the candles and preparation for closing. At 6 o'clock, we close up shop and that was it. That's a typical day for me working at the Diptyque.
