Create with me, part 1. The creative girls want to know how to make music, but they don't know how to make a beat. So let's make one together in four steps. Step one, get inspiration. Harness, pick, super theory. I'm gonna pick D minor. I already have some chords in mind. And if you're not super into music theory, you can just look up chords online. I'm gonna start with a vintage synth. It sounds like this. Step two, layers. When I first started to produce, I had a major problem. Beats sounded empty, and that layering adds depth. I'm gonna add these violin plucks. Step three, baseline. I love a large, cinematic sound. Personally, I do not have that style, and you best believe I will layer that base. I'm gonna add the horns and the brass. Step four. Instruments used: Vintage Synth, Violin Pizzicato, Bass Pizzicato, Crushed 808s, Synth #2, Brass Instr., Horns. Oh my god, I love it.
