When we started designing Fitz’s new bedroom, we wanted it to feel like him. At two years old, that basically means cars. Lots and lots of cars. The challenge was creating a room that celebrated what he loves now without feeling like we’d need to redecorate it in three years’ time. So we leant into vintage motoring details, colour drenched every surface we could find, added enough storage to (attempt to) contain the toy car collection, and committed to a double bed because I’m only carrying one bed up those stairs in my lifetime. My favourite part? Watching him walk in and immediately spot all the little details that were chosen just for him 🥹🥹🥹 Now if anyone needs me, I’ll be picking toy cars out of that rug until further notice.
