THE MADDEN TOURNAMENT TRAGEDY (2018)

Things didn't know about the 2018 tragedy. The photo behind me is pretty chilling. It's a screen grab from a Twitch stream that shows a pro gamer seconds before he's murdered. As you can see, a red dot showed up on his chest, seconds before he was shot and killed on a live stream. 1. David Katz drove over 11 hours from Baltimore to Jacksonville, Florida to play in a Madden tournament. He basically only brought a change of clothes, two handguns, and some ammo. I don't know about you, but he's giving Adam Lanza vibes. The last game was. It was just one of the craziest games I've played. I did think that I probably lost it when I didn't get that fourth down, but I was able to get a stop and got lucky and got a plan that Oh my goodness. The young man from Columbia, Maryland, from the last play of the game. 2. He refused to shake hands after losing... The tournament took place at a game bar in Jacksonville, Florida. There was around 150 people there at the time. David Katz was a pro gamer, and he started by winning two games and then lost one. And when he lost the game, he refused to shake the hands of the winner and gave him a blank stare. He eventually lost another game and was eliminated from the tournament, but he didn't take this well. He once again refused to shake the hands of the winner and gave him a blank stare and then walked back to his car and grabbed one of his guns. 3. He wanted to kill 2 gamers he disliked... He was coming back to kill two gamers he really didn't like and that he lost to. One of them was 22-year-old Elijah Clayton, aka 'Trueboy', and 27-year-old Taylor Robinson, who was also a pro gamer. 4. The whole thing was streamed on Twitch. The crazy thing is on the live stream, there was a red dot that appeared on Eli's chest and then disappeared. It reappeared more steady right by his heart and then seconds later, shots can be heard. Two bullets hit him in the chest, killing him instantly. And there's a horrible picture of it. Shot Robertson, who had won the Madden tournament. Then he decided to start shooting random people and audio from it. That's not an easy out. Oh, my goodness. 5. He murdered 2 people & injured 10 more. After murdering two people and injuring 10 others, he then takes his own life. He shot 13 rounds, basically hitting someone with every using the last one to take his life. 7. He was on antipsychotic meds... Now, David was prescribed antipsychotic medications. I don't know if that played the whole thing or if he just really just pissed because he won a $10,000 tournament before. Rest in peace to the two victims that died and the others healed up.
