I do have some really bad news that I need to share with you guys. I have someone who absolutely cannot stand the way that I cut tall cakes. In fact, I think they're like personally offended. And I quote: "No, I don't eat cake unless the whole piece is covered in frosting. And it's a triangle. Why in the world would you eat a rectangle piece of cake? You cut the piece of cake. You've cut the cake into however many triangles you want. You don't cut it into squares." So I responded, "Have you never had a sheet cake? Those are always square pieces." To which she says, "All sheet cake is different. It's one layer of cake. If it's like one of those tall circle cakes, she's cutting in the video it needs to be triangle pieces. I mean, I've never, ever, ever seen anyone eat a square piece of cake from that type of cake. A sheet cake is completely different. It's a completely different type of cake." Never, ever, ever seen anyone eat a square piece of cake from that type of cake. A sheet cake is completely different. It's a completely different type of cake. So I'm going to show you a very quick and easy, maybe even surprisingly way to get good size triangle pieces out of a tall cake. But you do need to watch closely because I want to make sure that you don't miss the key part of this process. This cake has been refrigerated for days now, so it is very cold. So I'm going to move this out of the way. Problem solved.
