As a developer, this VAR ball-sensor visualisation looks dodgy as fuck to me. For non-developers: what you are seeing is not the sensor magically drawing directly onto the screen. A development team had to code the entire visualisation, when the ball moves, how the waves appear, what counts as a contact, and which sensor readings are shown or ignored. What immediately triggered me was the moment the ball was floating in the air. The waves around it are clearly a visual animation, meaning this is a designed representation of the data, not untouched raw evidence. The developers could also have added extremely basic rules such as: “If the ball is more than 30 metres in the air, do not register or display a contact spike.” Or: “If the detected force is below a minimum threshold, do not display it as a meaningful hit.” That does not automatically prove the decision was manipulated. But it means the graphic alone proves almost nothing unless they also explain the sensor thresholds, filtering rules, timing accuracy and exactly how the visualisation was generated. Without that technical transparency, presenting the animation as definitive proof is extremely questionable. #fifa #worldcup2026 #var #bellingham #fyp
