Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
These are my favorite financial APIs for stock market data. These financial APIs, the pros and cons of all the ones that I've used and like the best. The four that I'm gonna go over in the first one is going to be Alpaca Markets. They have a really great API. It's free to use and this one and public, that you can actually execute trades on. But Alpaca is really great because they have free paper trading. So if you have some sort of strategy that you want to test, this is usually where I kind of sandbox if I have any ideas. Documentation is really, really good. If you're trying to dive into financial engineering, this is probably the one I would recommend you start with. If you're balling on a budget and you want alternative data, Finn hub is the one I would recommend to you. They have a slew of alternative data with their free tier that is really robust. Here is that if you're looking for international data, like a few of the other ones, it is, you need to pay for it and it is more like a signal fundamentals API versus a very robust thing. If you're going to be supplying for users, that's where massive comes in. Massive used to be polygon.io if you know that one. And this one's really great if you are trying to get real-time data or for an app that you're trying to service to actual users. The deepest data by far out of all four of these have time, historical data for stocks, crypto, different indices, etcetera. But the only thing now because they acquired there, there is no meaningful free tier available. So the cheapest option is like $99 per month. Obviously, if you're building something that is more like actual user said, I said, industry, then that's really only the only reason why I would use this one or if you're trying to build something that you really need this data for. The second most used one is the public API. They offer commission-free algorithmic trading. So that's really great. And I think they're definitely the most native AI native out of all four of these because you can literally start trading, natural language if you want using quad and um, chat GPT integrations for all those where you can just type in a strategy that you want to try out. The only con here is that there's no paper trading. That's why I referred beginner, Alpaca, this is gonna be moving and grooving rip.
