Piercing jewelry sizes 101 explained under 30 seconds. First size is gauge. Gauge is the size of your actual hole. And for example, I got pierced with a 16 gauge needle, so I buy 16 gauge jewelry and that works best for my piercings. Next is post length. They usually come in 6 millimeters or 8 millimeters and it's pretty anatomy dependent on which you find most comfortable. Last is hoop diameter. That's the distance across a hoop and I like to wear 8 millimeter in my helix, 10 millimeter in my conch and 6 in my tragus and my rook. Hope this was helpful!
