The magician pours a glass of water into a cup and flips it over his head but nothing comes out. You see before the show he hides a special white powder at the bottom of the cup so that when the water hits the it soaks up every in just a few seconds into a thick. But since the gel is the same color as the cup, no one in the crowd can tell it's there. And when he flips it, the sticky gel never slides out. The magician crushes a Coke soda can and pops it back into perfect shape. Before the show he drained part of the soda through a tiny pinhole, crushing the can and quickly resealing it with a small piece of black tape. So during the trick, when he peels off the tape, the trapped carbon dioxide rushes outwards and forces the can back into shape, quickly reinflating it.
