This is one of my favorite landmarks on my map I made. I made this with impossibly small landmarks so that I could study Tolkien's world and Peter Jackson's trilogy. And here's a detail from the film that will surprise you. When the fellowship sets out from Rivendell, they pass ruins on their way to the gap of Rohan. And I have these ruins on my map because they are the ruins of Ost-in-Edhil. The city where the rings of power were originally forged. It was a real landmark, not some random ruins thought up for the film. So when you see the fellowship pass this spot in a way, it's where the whole story started.
