For a few months, I became obsessed with keeping every shrub in my front yard perfectly trimmed. If I saw ONE stem sticking out, I was grabbing my trimmers. Before I knew it, I was in the yard almost every day fixing something. I started feeling burnt out. I had to tell myself: STEP AWAY FROM THE TRIMMERS, BUFFIE! So I made a rule: 4–6 weeks. I'm not going to trim anything before then!! It was hard, but I had to do it. The last time I trimmed everything was July 4th & 5th (except for that one loropetalum). I've been watching each shrub to see how fast it grows. And one thing I've learned is they ALL grow at different rates. Some still don't look too bad, while others are already screaming for attention. In this video, I'm walking around the yard, naming each shrub and showing you how much it's grown since July 4th & 5th,and how often I think each one actually needs trimming. I'm learning my yard instead of letting my yard run me. 🌳✂️ #2026yardschedule #ShrubTrimming
