The correct way to apply your morning skincare routine from a licensed esthetician. First, you start with a gentle cleanser of your choice. Yes, I am a firm believer that everyone should wash their face in the morning. Next on dry skin, you go in with your vitamin C serum or your vitamin C alternative. I may firm believer that vitamin C serum should go on first before your other products because I want it to penetrate the deepest into your skin without any of your other products blocking its penetration. Once your vitamin C serum has completely dried down, you can then move on to your next step, which should be a hydrating toner of your choice. Now, this step is completely optional. I don't use hydrating toners. I find them to clog my skin. Then from there, you go in with your hydrating serum of choice. This could be hyaluronic acid, a beta-glucan serum, peptides, whatever is gentle and hydrating on your skin and for your skin type. Then your eye cream, and then your gentle moisturizer, and then your SPF. And that is the correct order to apply your morning skincare routine.
