this hallway makeover is going to be amazing!

I'm giving my friends New Yorker apartment a full makeover and today let's take care of this hallway. Overall, this hallway is quite basic, there's nothing really exciting about it. It has white walls, the wooden floors, two lights, a popcorn ceiling. It's a few doors in here, but I think the most interesting architectural feature about the hallway is that there is an archway in the opening. So we're gonna do something quite special with that later on. But for now, let's go ahead and start painting. We're gonna do something cool with this wall, but over here, let's go do something moody. The first thing I'm gonna do is to paint the walls because these white walls are quite boring. I'm softening up the room with this wonderful sort of taupe cream color. Adding wallpaper is a great way to add interest to the room. I'm adding this walnut finish. It looks better already and it's making it feel moody. Some new light fixtures to add a modern touch. I love these globe lights. The current door knobs are kind of mixed and matched, which we don't love. So we got some new black ones to make it all cohesive. Layering in a nice runner rug to soften up the room. And I'm thinking of maybe hanging this mirror. What do we think? I definitely want to do something cool with this arch.
