NYC apartment tour before we start decorating Guys, it's time for a New York City apartment Cause you haven't seen this place since we closed on it three months ago and it's just time. So before my cousin who owns a freelance interior design studio comes in and helps us redo this place cause the goal is to finish it by November. I'm gonna give you a tour of what we're starting with cause you haven't seen it in three months and we haven't really been here over the summer. So I'll show you what we've done so far and how much more we need to do. So you start here by walking in And we have this beautiful foyer area. However, right now it's kind of a waste of space. So we plan on doing some sort of bench with shoe storage somewhere we could put our And a really And we're going to reorganize our closets because the structure of them right now, it just doesn't make sense. There's like no shelves. It's kind of a waste of space. And when you're in New York City, you need to make sure that you are making the most use of your space. So best part about our foyer though, is this mirror that I got from our house. This is my favorite purchase so far. And it's just so great statement piece Right? When you walk in for the most part, it's pretty much done. However, we're gonna get this repolster this framed with a light over it. And we are going to change out the lighting. I love how the shelves came out. There is a lot on them right now, but it's because we use them, which I actually really They're very functional. Natural light. We have a window in every single room, including the kitchen and the bathrooms. We're actually gonna keep the backsplash. We didn't think we were going to, but we like it and it's good for now. And then maybe some sort of thing here. The kitchen's pretty good. We move into the guest room. I hate to say it, but it's pretty much just and we have not touched this. It's basically like storage. Jonathan works from here when he's home. This is his closet. And we're planning on some sort of day bed here. getting a new dresser, getting a new mirror, and just really redesigning this entire space cause we clearly don't know what to do with it right now, which is why we need a little The best part is that we have a second bathroom in here with a tub and a shower. So two full bathrooms in an apartment in New York City is definitely a blessing. Come in to the living room. One of my favourite things is the archway. When we were deciding on where to move it was either like a really modern new build or one with more character. And we chose the one with more character. Of this light that I joke about, but we are going to get a new one. Also going to get a new table. This is from Amazon. I'm going to do artwork. I also got these from Amazon. It was kind of a for now. Also for now. So there's a lot of things that we're going to be changing about But I do love our bar cabinet, which is from our house. And you actually have and we always use it when we have people over. And it's just such a great statement piece to have into our bedroom. And obviously we have the like our bed, but still need nightstands. We don't have those. Still need some artwork above the bed. But one of my favourite things about this room is how much natural light we have. And we're also going to get a tall dresser here. And then you go into which is our bathroom. And I absolutely love Jonathan wants to keep the green. And I was like, you know what? Alright, we'll keep the green. And I love this bathroom again, another window. We have the shower. There's truly just so much space in this apartment, but we're not utilizing it as much as we should be. Just because we haven't had time. We don't really have a good which is exactly why which is exactly why we're hiring studio live to do it for us. So I'm so ex Overall, I'm excited for this little design series that we're gonna be doing. And now you guys have a starting point of where we're at and where we really need to There's still a lot that we need to get in order to feel really settled and feel homey.
