Start is the most influential programming language of all time. Are you sure? No, no, no. It's not even remotely close. See, C gives you the speed of assembly language while also the readability of a language like Python. Almost every operating system kernel is written in C, so literally every computer you use, even the code in your microwave is probably running C. I had no idea. It is considered the mother of all modern programming languages because it inspired almost all of them. It was invented in 1972 and almost every operating system still uses it today. To give you some time context, before C came out, most people were still writing code on punch cards. That is absurd. When you wrote code back then, you could only write it for one computer and that was it. When you coded in C, the code you wrote could be used on any computer and it was still extremely fast. The guy who invented C, by the way, just happened to immediately use it to write the most influential operating system ever. So he's like the GOAT. Rest in peace, Dennis Ritchie.
