if your ZZ plant is looking half dead, please do not throw it away. If you prune it this way, it will sprout many new shoots from just above the base. Cut it at 2 to 3 cm before you start pruning. It is best to wipe your scissors with alcohol to sterilize them. Then go ahead and cut off all these poorly growing branches. After you finish pruning, try your best not to get water on the wounds. Place it in a well-ventilated area with scattered light to replenish nutrients. Fertilize it. Keep the temperature between 15 and 20 degrees while pruning. New branches will grow in about two months.
