It's pre-production day for my client's content. I've partnered with Adobe Firefly Boards to show you how I plan the creative direction and shoot day, all in one place. Step 1: client notes + details. First, I always start with a client call to discuss their vision and make sure we're aligned. I'll take notes directly on a designated board. That way, I can continually reference their key details throughout. Step 2: creative direction development. Then, after the call, is when the creative direction really comes to life. I'll pull in their brand colors, any specific shot requests, and start sourcing inspiration. Firefly Boards makes this process so simple because it provides just enough structure to not feel too rigid, but helps evolve my brainstorming that actually makes sense. Step 3: production plan. Next, I build out the shot list, gear, and prop list that I need. When I show up to set, the direction, the plan, and the vision are all right there in a single canvas, which helps present creating.
