questions that I always get asked from my first time clients before they get on the table is does it hurt? Can I wax or sugar on my period and how often do I have to come and get waxed? My name is Treaisha. I am a licensed cosmetologist located in Orlando, Florida who specializes in waxing and sugaring. First wax is always a little uncomfortable, but I promise if you push through the uncomfortable this, you will be just fine. And your hair is not used to coming from the root, so of course it's going to be like a little shocker when you come from shaving. Yes, you can wax or sugar on your period. All you got to do is put on a tampon and we are good to go. For all my first time clients, I always recommend that you come in every four weeks to get waxed because we need to put you on a schedule. So waxing and sugaring is a little different. So once a month is perfect.
