You see how my client has a huge disconnection between the top and the sides? Yeah, we don't want that. So start by wetting the hair and then section off the top from both corners. Start in the back, create a middle part, then grab a small vertical section and match the length to the shorter length. Work your way to your left, continuing to grab small vertical sections and match them to the shorter length until you get to the taper. Then return to the back of the head and start working your way to the right this time from the middle part to match the length. Once you make your way all the way around the head, blow dry it, add some product and you're finished. This is the before and here's the after.
