The thought of the CPC exam not being multiple choice one day is 🤯. So I do know that this can be absolutely daunting, exhausting, and just overwhelming thinking about it. But there really is a reason behind why they have been talking about switching all of it. It's probably just going to be the cases or it's probably just going to be a handful of questions that are going to be fill in the blank. For example, I just took the CPC-M the master for the CPC exam and that one had some multiple select, multiple choice, and then maybe five of them that were fill in the blank. And it really wasn't that difficult. It's not changing the entire exam to fill in the blank. They're still going to be multiple choices, you're still going to have a little bit of help in those answers, the majority of the questions. They want to make sure that the CPC exam and that credential is being held to a high standard so that people know that if you hold that CPC exam, then you know what you're doing. You don't just rely on four choices and you actually have learned how to code, how to navigate your manuals, how to extract information from scenarios and cases. And while it is daunting and overwhelming and just overall exhausting, it really is going to serve a purpose and that's going to challenge those programs that teach the information in the material to level up their content and make sure that they're teaching you so that you're adequately prepared. So hopefully that helps ease some of that anxiety and if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to reach out.
