Barcelona is probably my favorite city in the world to visit… but here’s where people mess up. 1. The Metro. Skip the HOLA BARCELONA passes. Those are geared at tourists and over priced. The T-USUAL is the one you want. It’s unlimited subway AND bus ride for 30 days - even airport transfers. Zone 1 is 23 euro. And thats everywhere you could want to go in the city. But if you wanted to go further out like Sitges for instance, it’s only a few dollars more. 2. The front desk of hotels is often 9 not 0 - this should save you at least one trip downstairs when you’re out of towels and wet ;) 3. The best Sagrada Família photo spot (in my opinion) is behind the pond. You will have a beautiful foreground of a lake, no crowds, between u and Sagrada, and the whole thing fits in one frame. Chefs kiss Bonus Tip: Guard your phone with your life. Petty theft is rampant in Barcelona, and phones get snatched right out of your hands if you’re not paying attention. (Yes, it happened to me) Bonus Tip 2: That now infamous Sagrada escalator can be found on the L2 subway line at the Sagrada Família stop going in the direction of Paral-lel at the Marina/Mallorca exit.
