Delta First Class Less $ Than Economy

I just scored Delta First class for less than the price of economy by using this simple trick. Next time you are about to a Delta flight, make sure you check their alliance PARTNERS first. Delta is notorious for overcharging their price in skymiles, because so many people have so many of them. But often times SkyTeam alliance partners - especially AirFrance and VirginAtlantic - will sell the exact same seat ON A DELTA PLANE - for half the amount of miles… or less! And you probably have these points and don’t even know it. 
Chase points can transfer into both Virgin AND AirFrance points at a 1:1 ratio - and its totally free. So on this ticket I booked to Puerto Vallarta, I’m saving over half the amount of points, just by taking 5 minutes and checking these other airlines first. Sure enough, the exact flight I needed was being offered on AirFrance’s website. I then took my Chase points, transferred them to AirFrance, booked my ticket through AirFrance (their version of Skymiles is called Flying Blue), and I’m currently sitting on this very DELTA flight This will of course not always work, because partners don’t get access to the full inventory of seats available on Delta - but you will be SHOCKED how often this works.
