I am going to be attempting my first ever 24-hour readathon. Let's get ready for it. Full disclosure, this is my first time attempting anything even close to a 24-hour readathon and honestly, I don't know if I fully believe in myself, but we're just going to go full steam ahead and try to do it anyway. To give myself the best chance of success, I want to prepare a few things, mainly snacks to keep me going and a TBR so I'm not sitting there indecisive when I have to choose what to read next. I also want to go to Barnes and Noble to look at the books, though I will not be buying books today because I'm still technically on a book buying ban. But I did recently get a new library card subscription, so I want to check out audiobooks potentially. So I have a few different formats when I'm reading. Let's start by going to Barnes and Noble. My one goal coming in here was not buy any physical books, but you know, I had to look around, I had to peek. This book really peaked my interest. Romance books, oh, I was tempted. And this Dune copy was so gorgeous, but why was it $25 for a paperback? Zodiac Academy, I'm so tempted to start, but it's so many books. I looked at puzzles. Are you guys puzzle people? Because these puzzles were key calling my name. I'm not gonna lie. I did cave and I did buy a puzzle. However, it is reading themed and it's not books. It will be the perfect thing to work on when I'm listening to my audiobooks. So I think it's worth it. Anyways, I did not film in Walmart. It was too busy oops. I'm going to go, I think to Walmart to look at some snacks and some fun drink options. I think I want to get some soda. I went to Barnes and Noble, I bought snacks. Now it's time for arguably the most important thing to prepare for a readathon, the TBR. I chose three audiobooks to download from Libby. Two of them are on my physical TBR, which is great because it's knocking down two birds with one stone. Those are Problematic Summer Romance, Tourist Season and Daisy Jones and the Six. They're all pretty good books from what I've heard. First I have The Thursday Murder Club. I did put in an audiobook hold for this, but I'm not sure if I'll get it on time. But I do have the physical copy as well. Next I have Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. I'm not really sure what this is about. I just know it's kind of like a thriller, mystery. Next I chose The Maze Runner, which has been on my TBR for quite some time. I don't know how I haven't read the series yet. I feel like it is an iconic series to read growing up and I kind of missed that memo. Moving on to romance. First step, I have In Stormy Weather by Chelsea Curto. This is a new release and I am very excited to read it because it's best friends brother, kind of rivals and close proximity all in one. Next, I have In Your Dreams, which is the last book of the In Your Room series. I only have this last book to read and then I'm completely finished with the series. The last three books that I chose are actually all fake dating tropes. Can you tell what my favorite trope is? The first book is Where About Idea Right by K.L. Walther. I really enjoyed all her other books and this one is fake dating. It's fun and bright colored and I feel like it'll be a great read. Next, I have Betting on You by Lynn Painter. This one I've heard so many great things about and a lot of people rank it higher in their Emily Henry rankings. So I'm very excited to get to this one. Last but not least on the TBR, we have Funny Story by Emily Henry. This one I've heard so many great things about and a lot of people rank it higher in their Emily Henry rankings. So I'm very excited to get to this one. Anyways, that is all the prep that I have done for my readathon. I'm very excited and very, very nervous.
