I like to do a quick underpainting in acrylic, then add more detail and nuance in oil. Like the old adage “beer before liquor, never been sicker,” you should never paint with acrylic over oil, as oil paint dries very slowly and will tighten and crack the rigid layer of acrylic above it. #oilpainting #stilllifepainting
