hi and welcome back to part 2 of me transforming this thrifted piece of art into something I actually like. In the last part, I planned out what I was going to do. Today I'm going to be adding more detail to the original rocks. The original artist wanted the rocks to be quite scary, they were pointy and black, so I just leaned into that, but I made them a little more resolved and 3D. Their placement around just a little, so the composition was better. And then it was time for the water. I felt like the original art was kind of placid, it would go better with the rocks and the red sky if it was like crashing, foaming waves. I actually feel like it turned out pretty well. And again, this is the painting I got at the thrift store. And here is my made over version. You can see I kept the same elements. I just heightened the drama and made everything a little more finished with a lot more movement. I feel like this was a success. So um, let me know what you think and stay tuned for more makeovers.
