The Bible tells you exactly why you're still single. Most people just skip the verse — and misread the ones around it. "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." — Matthew 6:33. Yes — seek Him first. That's the foundation, and it's beautiful. But hear me clearly, because this is where people get it wrong: seeking God was never meant to look like sitting still and waiting for her to appear. That's not faith — that's passivity dressed up as patience. Scripture never separates faith from the fight. Adam was working the garden before he was given a wife (Genesis 2:15). "Faith without works is dead" (James 2:17). "Act like men, be strong" (1 Corinthians 16:13). The men of Nehemiah rebuilt the wall with a tool in one hand and a weapon in the other (Nehemiah 4:17). Build AND battle. Always both. And when I say she's meant for you — I don't mean God stamped one specific woman with your name. I mean a good wife is "favor from the Lord" (Proverbs 18:22), and that gift is meant for the man you're becoming, not the man you are right now. The becoming is the part you control. The bringing is God's. So seek Him first — then go to war becoming the man. She isn't added to the man resting on the couch. She's meant for the man in the arena. Seek Him first. Then fight.
