Guess where we are? Birmingham shopping. Yes, it's wedding season and there's something about shopping for Indian clothes that always takes me straight back to my childhood. It's my first time in Birmingham shopping. I'm looking for the right outfit. With weddings coming up, I got to try a few outfits on. Went to a different variety of shops. Every time I walk into an Indian boutique, I get that overwhelming feeling of nostalgia. My parents owned an Indian fashion business in Leeds called Sharan Boutique. Yes, named after me. I wasn't just a customer, I grew up on the other side of the counter. And, yes, I finally found my perfect outfit. I'm actually so impressed with Birmingham Soho Road. It's the spot for Indian shopping. Mum and I also went and got our jewellery and accessories matching our outfits, too. My mum is a fashionista, a stylist, and she always knows the best clothes and what's gonna suit me and what isn't gonna suit me. And I love that. It was nice to spend today with her, but goodbyes are always the hardest.
