Today we are doing beginner versus professional makeup. So on this side, I'm doing all my steps like a beginner would. And on this side, I'm doing them all how a professional would. As you can see, there's already a pretty big difference. But let's jump right back into it. We just finished all the creams, so now it's time to set with powder. A beginner would probably just take a glowy pressed powder like this on a fluffy brush and just swipe that all over the face to set. This actually doesn't look terrible, but it's not doing anything to shape your face and it's definitely not gonna keep you set all day long. A professional, however, would first take a loose powder on a powder puff and tap off the excess. Use this to set the under eye and the center of the face. They would then take a blurring pressed powder and tap that in to set and blur the rest of the face. This is how those celebrities save flawless all day long. Now for powder bronzer. I see a lot of beginners just kind of go in and swirl this around everywhere, thinking that it's going to give them like an overall bronze. But really, this is what's making them look super orange. A professional would just tap in the same exact places that we put the cream contour. Bring a little bit of that color back. Same thing with powder blush. A beginner would just kind of throw it right on the apple. And a professional would place it right here in this little pocket under the eye to transition in the bronzer. Now for eyeshadow. A beginner would probably just throw that same bronzer all over the lid. There's actually nothing wrong with this. But a professional would start on the outer corner and pull up and out. Then they blend that into the crease of the eye. Make sure to connect it in with the nose. So that everything is super seamless. And a professional would always make sure to highlight the inner corner and the brow bone. Next step is eyeliner. A beginner would probably look down in the mirror and make a line straight up like this. And then they would probably try to connect it in, but it just ends up looking a little crazy. A professional would look straight ahead and pull the line directly out, following the lower lash line. And then they would connect it in, but stop right at the edge of the pupil. Inside of the eye is still open. The outside is snatched. Without this weird droop happening. For lips, a beginner would probably just go in with a gloss. And a professional would first go in with a liner and blend that with a nude lip in the center. And finally to set. A beginner would probably just go in with like a hydrating spray. A professional would go in with a finishing setting spray to really lock it in. And here is the finished beginner versus professional makeup. As you can see, there is a huge difference.
