It wasn't a long time, but it was a good time. How we spent 36 hours in Las Vegas as non-gamblers. Day 1 kicked off with an early morning flight from Dallas into Vegas. We landed around 9:15 AM and went straight to our hotel, which is Caesars Palace. It was too early to check in, but we were able to drop off our bags and we could go explore. We headed straight to the conservatory at the Bellagio and it was actually really nice. It was kind of an interesting little area right near the check-in desk. We spent a little bit of time here before walking across the street to Paris and checking out Beer Park, Rooftop Bar & Grill, where we'll be able to have drinks and watch the Bellagio Fountain show. On the weekends, the shows start at noon every day and run every 30 minutes until 8 PM, then it goes off every 15 minutes until midnight. At this point, it's about 12:30 PM, so we caught a taxi outside the Paris hotel to take us to Fremont Street. We walked down the street for a little bit and then spent a bucket list item of my mom's to go zip lining. So we jumped in line at SlotZilla and zip lined down Fremont Street. It was a pretty short ride, but it was fun. And since I had never played a slot machine before, I thought it'd be fun to do it in the OG area of Fremont Street. And we were able to find the old ones where you actually have the handle to spin the wheel. I only put in $20 and played to my money was out. So I guess I'm good at gambling for the weekend. From Fremont, we took a taxi back to Caesars Palace to check in and check into our room. We still had about an hour of free time, so we went down to the pool and checked that out, which was super nice. And then it was time for our evening activity. So we got ready for dinner. My sister had made a reservation across the street at Chayo Mexican Kitchen + Tequila Bar. We got a picture of margaritas for $42 and our meals were also pretty good. And the restaurant was along this cute little street with like shops and different places you could check out. We walked along that for a bit before heading back to Caesars to see Kelly Clarkson live. The concert was really good. She's a great singer and she has a full live band. The set design is meant to be set up like a studio where they're just jamming out and playing songs and like recording. And that is exactly how the actual concert feels. So I definitely recommend seeing Kelly if you have the opportunity. And that was the end of Day 1 in Vegas. Day 2. We just had a really relaxed morning and had some coffee before heading over to the Sphere to see The Wizard of Oz. In which this was the main event that sparked the entire trip to Vegas to begin with. We did check out of the hotel and head to the Sphere. We got a little lost walking through the Venetian to get there, but we eventually found our way and got into our seats well before the movie started. And I will say that the organizers do a really good job of making the entire thing an experience from the minute you walk into the lobby into the theater and then even after the show, there were like interactive things going on. It was a really, really cool experience. I would absolutely come back here for a concert or potentially even another movie if I had the opportunity. After the movie, we had brunch at Yardbird also in the Venetian before slowly walking through the many other hotels we had a chance to see yet. Walking back to Caesars Palace to pick up our bags to head back to the airport. We're at the airport now. Overall, we had a pretty good time and none of us had been to Vegas in 15 or 20 years. So obviously things were just a little different. The two shows we saw were really good and we marked off two things off of our bucket list. So even if you're not a big gambler, there are still plenty of things that you can do when you're visiting Vegas.
