Planning to see The Wizard of Oz at the sphere in Vegas, here are just a few things to know before you go. First, the sphere has announced that it'll be ending The Wizard of Oz run at the end of 2026, so you only have a few more months to actually go see it. Two, if you're walking to the venue from the Vegas Strip, the easiest way to get there is through the Venetian. And once you get kinda close, they have this really beautiful display where you can go and take pictures, and then lots of signs pointing you towards the yellow brick road. Three. Once you get to the sphere, there is security checking your bags, but it goes really fast. The merch shop is right there near the entrance and it is actually pretty good. If you're a huge Wizard of Oz fan, you're gonna love some of the items they have in there. And then along the walls, there's actually full bars where you can go ahead and get your drinks and snacks for the show. Four. They do a really good job of making this an immersive experience from beginning to end. So the minute you walk into the lobby, everything from the lighting to the graphics, even the little sounds of Toto barking in the background. And then during the movie, there's a tornado scene, the apple tree scene, and I won't give away the rest, but just know that there are little interactive elements throughout the entire movie. And a fun little surprise in the lobby after the show. Five. AI and other visual effects were used to enhance the movie, to be able to fit the sphere screen. I was naively unaware of this going into it, but it was obvious. There were definitely moments where I was like, this wasn't in the movie, or how did they even do this? The movie itself is so crisp and clear and clean that, you know that they obviously enhanced it. And while it was noticeable, I don't think it took away from the experience. I actually do think that it did enhance it. But if you were unaware of these changes going in, now you know. And number six, we had seen online to take some nausea pills before you go in, for people who get really bad motion sickness, which both me and my sister do. So we both took nausea medicine, but I think I would have been okay not taking it. But something to be aware of before you go in. Overall, I really enjoyed this experience. It's actually the entire reason we went to Vegas was to do this. And I would definitely come back to see another movie here in the future.
