if you have Global Entry you might want to know that as of today September 15th the Global Entry app is no more. It is now the Trusted Traveler app. And why did they create a new app? Well basically they had a couple of different apps for different purposes and they basically just rolled it all into one single helpful app. And once you download the Trusted Traveler app within it you'll be able to report a Global Entry arrival just like you could in the old one apply or renew your membership to the program and manage any of your membership details including your address or any other details that might have changed since you first applied. I downloaded the app today. It was super simple to set up. It took less than 5 minutes to kind of like figure out what I needed to do put in my details and voila be verified that yes this is my account. And now I can use the app for all the things I mentioned before renewing my membership keeping it updated and for arriving into the country from abroad. If you are using the app to apply for Global Entry Nexus Sentry or fast which are the four different trusted traveler programs. Once you're conditionally approved for those applications you can also go ahead and schedule your enrollment appointment through the app as well. And if you've been on the fence about applying for Global Entry I say do it. If you travel internationally at all it expedites the process of getting back into the US so much that it is well worth it. It lasts for five years and also includes TSA Precheck with your membership. So just a heads up that you want to go ahead and delete that old Global Entry app and download the new Trusted Traveler app. And as always happy travels.
