Did you know there's a program you can load that will turn just about any computer into a gaming console? Grab yourself a flash drive, a 32 gigabyte stick. My target computer will be that old Alienware I fixed up in a previous video. First, we're gonna search up Batocera. Go to their official link on their main page. Click the big blue download. Install this for a lot, but where this desktop PC download. While that's downloading, look up Raspberry Pi Imager and go to their official website. Basically, Batocera is an operating system and this imaging software will allow us to load it onto the USB so the computer can recognize it and boot from it. So on their download for your operating system. And then we'll way down and select use custom. Find that Batocera file and click open. Then click next. And then select your USB drive. And hit write. This is permanent. So make sure you're installing it to the right drive. Shut up mom. Then let it do its thing. That's completed. Click finish. And now we get to plug it into this computer. We'll plug it straight to the front. We'll power it on. And while that's powering, click whatever button you need to boot into your BIOS. And once we're to our boot tab to avoid some problems in the future, turn off secure boot. And then for boot option number one, we're gonna select our thumb drive. Then we'll restart our computer. And now this massive game console emulator. It also ships with some games already installed. And don't worry, this will automatically add the emulator for any game you place onto that card. And it supports just about any controller. But I think that's gonna do it for this video. If you'd like to directly support this channel, please consider checking out my Patreon linked in my bio.
