I don't throw around the term "hidden gem" very lightly, but I have found one in this tiny village in Kilkenny. Welcome to Tābu, tapas and cocktails. My favorite. Here. We walked in here totally on a whim and to say we were impressed is an understatement. We got started with a spicy margarita which was superb, as well as some fresh guacamole and Padron peppers that were cooked to perfection. As well as Hasselback potatoes. Bravos. And then I went for fish tacos. They were perfectly flaky and flavorful. And John got a lamb chop. It's a really bright, spacious venue with ample seating and such a good energy. It really is a hidden gem. Final bill for all the dishes and drinks came to €80, which I think is amazing. Follow me for the best eats around the island of Ireland.
