This is a very terrifying scenario and unfortunately, a realistic one and one that can happen to anyone including yourself at any given moment, especially with the current state of the world. Identifying a real bomb is extremely difficult and to be quite frank, it's quite contextual to which country or region you're in. In countries currently very active in wars such as Ukraine, Russia in Gaza, bombs are unfortunately extremely there and one that is constantly the look out. However, countries in the Middle East such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq and some countries like Nigeria, bombs can come in a form of abandoned bags, toys that are found in the middle of nowhere and secluded areas or in very disturbing cases, suicide bombers in more safer countries like the UK, the US, Canada and European countries. bombs can either come in the form of a suicide bomber themselves or almost always simply an abandoned suspicious object in a public place. And in disturbing cases, bombs are present in terrorism attacks. But this universal technique can help you identify if a suspicious object that you've encountered could quite possibly be a bomb, regardless of what country or what region you're in. signs that should immediately prompt you to act with absolute suspicion towards an object as follows. There is a pattern that I'm trying to communicate which a lot of people are not seem to be getting that most lost objects are not bombs. That most bags placed in a crowded area are probably not bombs either. That that abandoned toy that you're seeing in a very strange area might not even be a bomb. What I'm trying to get you to understand is to not approach that object regardless. Do not touch it move away immediately or others around you if it's safe to do so while understanding your safety comes first. Be very quick to tell security and officers when safe.
