Hi Denver, I have the ultimate summer day trip you're going to want to save. You'll get epic mountain views, cool off from the heat, and discover some amazing foodie spots. My name is Emily and I share fun day trips and adventures. Today we're heading to Georgetown, just an hour from Denver. Start your morning in Empire right off I-70 with donuts from Lady Donuts. My favorite is the blueberry one, but honestly, you can't go wrong with any of their flavors. Next head over to Georgetown Lake where you can rent a kayak or paddle board and spend the morning out on the water.
