I told you why I like the original medicube Booster Pro in my last video, but medicube just released the Booster Pro X2™, so the obvious question is, is it worth upgrading? I went through every new feature and the clinical data, so here's what stood out to me. The first major addition is Mask Mode. Instead of simply wearing a sheet mask, it uses gentle micro-vibrations to improve absorption while you wear it. In fact, medicube's testing showed 9 times better absorption compared to the mask alone. It also introduces AI Mode, which connects to the app to recommend treatment settings based on your current skin concerns. I actually love to see this because 7 different treatments can feel overwhelming if you're new to the device. But the feature I was most interested in is the upgraded Booster Mode. It uses electroporation to help deliver your skincare ingredients more effectively. Before I agreed to review this device, I wanted to see the evidence behind it, which honestly is rare for at-home skincare devices. The clinical studies consistently showed better improvement in pore appearance, skin texture, hydration, elasticity, and overall radiance when using the device with skincare compared to skincare alone. But the new Dual Mode seals the deal for me. Instead of running two treatments separately, you can combine two modes in one session. As a dermatologist, I know the biggest reason people stop using skincare devices is because they can take too much time and this mode makes consistency that much easier. And yes, the AirShot, MicroCurrent, and Dermashot modes have all been upgraded with stronger performances as well. So is the X2 actually worth upgrading? If you already use the original Booster Pro and use it consistently, I think the new features, especially Dual Mode, Mask Mode, and the upgraded Booster Mode all make a compelling reason to upgrade.
