3 accounts you're gonna need before you go to college. Keep in mind all of these accounts are free to open up. Number one, a high-yield savings account. I use SoFi, personally. You can use whatever the f*** you want to use, but it's free and this is where you can earn interest on your money that you're saving. In a regular bank account, in a regular savings account, you're not earning no interest on your money. That means if you set your money there for a whole year, it's earning interest for you and you're getting paid to have your money sit there, okay? Number two, a Roth IRA. While you're in college, you can be saving for your retirement right now. I think the cap every year is 7500. I have to double check on that. I believe it's 7500. You don't have 7500. You got $5. You got $1. Put it in there. Let it sit there. Whenever you're retired, you're gonna be good. It's literally gaining interest on it and you can remove it whenever you feel like it. However, I would recommend letting it sit there to be. Number three, brokerage account. This is an account where you can invest your money and trade your money and do a lot of other stuff too. But we're gonna focus on investing your money because you're a beginner. Within that account, you're gonna invest into ETFs because you're a beginner. You don't know shit about investing into individual stocks. You just need to learn about investing into a basket of stocks, which is an ETF. If you want to learn more about financial literacy before you go to college, comment "learn more". Comment, like, share. I love y'all. Byee.
