Okay, so I get messages on here from time to time from different girls in sales, like at the beginning of their sales career, how do I get better at sales? I own multiple businesses and sales my whole life. Um, I feel like I'm pretty decent at it. And so I thought I'd talk a little bit about maybe what I've done, maybe it'll help you be good at sales. So, one, I was really bad at it when I started. Terrible. Absolutely awful. The worst way possible. Like I messed up everything. I messed up every form, had people sign things multiple times, awful, awful, awful, terrible. I don't even know why people bought things from me in the beginning. So if you're there today, it can get better. But the biggest thing that I think that really helped me was my delusional confidence. I was always under the belief that if I didn't know the answer, I'd tell the client, I'm not sure, let me find out. And I would find out. And so I walked around like everybody wants to do business with me. I don't know if this was because my mom loved me too much, but who knows? I just assumed I'd be better at it than anybody else that they work with. And so, um, and it wasn't that I was better, it's just that I knew I was going to outwork anybody else. And so my clients felt that even early on while I was new. And I would always be like, hey, I'm new to this, but I know I can get it right for you. And I would just be super honest about that. I would never be embarrassed about being a beginner. And so I think that was a big factor. And then the other thing that really, really helped me was I made sure that if I ever got an objection, I wrote it down and tried to study why I did that in that objection and my wins. Sometimes the customer is just not your customer. Sure. But a lot of times it's probably how you present something if it is in the best interest of the customer and you just lost it. And so I started learning why I was losing, and then I started studying why I was winning. And my wins taught me the type of client that I work best with. And I started studying where I found that client and what I should do with that client. And so that was a big thing. So I started studying my wins and losses. And then the last one is I started creating my network through human connection. So after I would connect with somebody and establish a relationship with the client, I would stay connected with them through different means. Um, I would do text messages, like, hey, thinking about y'all, hope y'all are doing great. I would never ask for anything in my touchpoints. I would just always check in, say happy birthday, Merry Christmas, happy holidays. And I would just go through and hit all my top 100, 200 clients with personal thank yous. And that really helped build out my client list over the years and get me lots of referrals. And the last one is, I was always honest. If I messed up, I was honest. If I got it right, I was honest. I was always honest. So yeah.
