I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. Before I got into sales, I was a motherfucking train wreck. I had no self-respect. I didn't care myself well. I was overweight. I thought I was ugly and I just treated myself like shit. Like, let's be real here. I had nothing going for myself. And then I got into sales. I made simple fixes and I started building confidence. And then people started respecting me. So here's a couple simple things you can do if you're on the same boat. First thing I did is I changed the way I talk. I started speaking in absolutes. And what I mean by that is instead of I think, it's I know. Instead of I hope I can be the best, it's I will be the best. It's really simple and it's undervalued. So start speaking in absolutes. Number two, I stopped hiding from rejection. In this day and age, we are so scared of rejection. We will avoid amazing things because we're so scared of a no that we go for the safer option. Stop going for the safer option. Please. If you want something, go after it. And I guarantee if you want it bad enough, you will fucking get it. Number three, I started keeping promises to myself. One thing I see time and time again is somebody makes a promise to themselves and then they don't keep it and they build anxiety and they start hating themselves or they start giving up. If you make a promise for yourself, make it a priority and get it done. So there's three really easy things you can do. And if you're thinking this is hard, I promise you it's not. Just take it one day at a time. Speaking in absolutes. Stop getting so scared of somebody saying no to you. Every no is one step closer to a yes. And then start keeping your promises. I know you can do it.
