Baby, this is the original Pam and Gina. Young people, I need you to understand. Your grandma was outside. Y'all, I've been going through my mama's old pictures. And look at my mama and her best friend in the club, early in the early 80s. Baby, this was partying. And quiet, kept. You could put these outfits on today and nobody would know the difference. And wigs. Wigs ain't new. Mama stays switching wigs. But then see, a wig was seen as an accessory. You changed your hair with the outfit. Monday, curls. Tuesday, completely different woman. Don't ask no questions. And my mother used to tell me when they knew they were going out to the club that night, they would go find something cute to wear to a thrift store, some other little place and put it all together and gone out. Looking at this picture, I know they were having a good time. And those stick. I just wish my mama kept the clothes, because I would absolutely wear them today. Look like a busty can of biscuits? Probably. But I would be a fabulous busty can of biscuits. What a time to be alive.
