I'm a new UGC creator and one thing that I was not prepared for was once I started to receive inbound deals, brands were going to expect me to actually invoice them. And so that was something that I have had to learn over the last couple of weeks. So today I figured I would show you how I learned how to invoice clients and how it's been working for me. This is a copy of the invoice that I've been using. I just found it on Canva. You can literally go into Canva and just type in invoice template. It will bring up a variety of different templates you can use. Honestly, I just went with the first one that popped up. It's super simple and brands don't care what it looks like. As you can see here, I have the invoice date, invoice number, and invoice due date. I heard that you should only give brands a week to make sure that you're staying on top of everything. And then I have a billed to section, which includes the company name and their address. You can usually find that either on Google or in the email signature itself. For this one in particular, I just gave them two hooks, raw footage, one CTA, one round of revisions, and then I gave them the total. And down at the bottom, you can do whatever payment information you're most comfortable with. For this one in particular, I just gave them my ACH information. However, brands do work with Zelle, PayPal, and I believe Venmo. And then I just gave them my name and my address. And that is it. So I've already sent out the two invoices for the brand deals that I have and it was super simple and hopefully now you know how to invoice your clients.
