Here's how to sell Canva templates the right way. Step number one, you're gonna need a Canva Pro account. Back in the day, Canva allowed you to access the Canva template link on the free version, but with the most recent changes, you need the Pro version to access Canva template links. So first, what you're gonna do is you're gonna create your original design inside of Canva. So this does not mean that you can use the standalone templates that are inside of Canva, you have to create something that is unique to you and it should be your original design. So step number one, open Canva, so go to canva.com and create your free account. I'm gonna be real with you, although Canva is free, you will need to upgrade to the Pro version in order to sell Canva templates, and I'll explain why in a minute. Now you have to create your design, so you're gonna go to your home menu, and then you'll have an option called custom size. So this is where you select the size that you want to create inside of Canva. So for an example, say that you're creating an Instagram post that's gonna be 1080 by 1080. So then you will have an option called height and width, so you're gonna type in your height and width here. So I'm just gonna go 1080 by 1080, and then under units, I'm just gonna select pixels, and then click create design. So once you do that, this should open up a blank canvas and that is essentially where you create your design. So here's an example of a design that I created from scratch. And if you are brand new to Canva and you wanna learn how to use it, I created over 500 Canva tutorials right here on this account, so make sure to watch the Canva tips playlist for some of those tutorials so that you can learn how to use Canva for your business. So once you create this design, this is what you need to do. You're gonna head over to share, so it's gonna be this one right here. Next, you will have an option called template link, so you're gonna go ahead and click on that. And you see how that has a crown on it? So back in the day, that used to be free, but now it has a crown, meaning you need a Canva Pro account. Once you click on it, you will have an option called template link, so it's gonna be this one right here. So click on that template link. Then you should get something like this. So this is gonna be unique to your design in your Canva account, so you will get this template link. So you're gonna go ahead and hit copy. You're gonna then create a simple PDF with that URL. So this is basically what you send to your customer once they make the purchase. That is your digital product that you're gonna sell. So once somebody pays you, you can then send that PDF to them, and when they click on that link, they can add that template to their Canva account. So here are a few digital product ideas that you can create inside of Canva with that template link. So make sure to either save this or screenshot this section. Okay, now if you are wondering who would buy these templates, here are some potential customers. You can screenshot this section too. There are many different places to sell Canva templates, I'm gonna list out a few for you, so make sure to screenshot again. So best tools, I would say Gumroad is very good if you're just starting out, it's free to start. Shopify, you can even like create a digital product storefront and then sell like all your Canva templates inside of Shopify. ClickFunnels is also very good, and then Stan Store. I see a lot of creators use Stan Store and it's super popular, and then you can also, you know, build a website on WordPress and then Squarespace. And there are marketplaces that also you can sell your Canva templates, and then one is Etsy and then Creative Market, and then you also have Design Cuts.
