What Even Is Freshers?!

Someone asked what is freshers even about? So let me explain it properly. Freshers isn't a single event or even run by the uni. It's usually a one to two week period where new students arrive at the uni. Freshers is a good kind of chaos. There's club events, freshers fairs, games nights, flat meet ups, all designed to help you find and make friends. The amount of people you'll speak to at freshers and probably never see again or speak to again is insane. Every university does it slightly different, but the core principles are the same. Mass making friends. One of the biggest pieces of advice I can give you is speak to everyone. It may seem cringe or uncomfortable at first, but genuinely in the long run, it will pay off. The more events you go to, the more people you meet, which heightens the chance to find your people. So if you're going to uni in September, go to every event and say yes to everything.
